Marketplace Terms

My Boat Buddy coordinates service requests between boat owners and approved mobile marine mechanics. These rules apply to marketplace participation.

Mechanic Approval

Mechanic access is invite-only or manually approved. Public applicants are not allowed to receive jobs until My Boat Buddy verifies their fit, service area, insurance, credentials, and operating requirements.

Dispatch and Assignment

Jobs may be matched by service category, market, availability, travel distance, credentials, urgency, customer preference, and operational discretion. Admins may reassign or escalate declined, unclaimed, disputed, or emergency requests.

Fees and Payment Records

Platform fees, checkout charges, refunds, parts costs, and payout handling may vary by job and market. Final payment and fee handling must match the written approval or checkout presented to the customer.

Service Quality

Mechanics must document status, notes, photos, parts, and completion details when required. My Boat Buddy may review records, customer feedback, and job outcomes before future assignment eligibility.
